Education Inequality
Education inequality has become a widespread epidemic, not only domestically but internationally, as well. Early cognitive development is so determinative of what happens in adulthood that to continue the tired squabble about who's to blame -- teachers, schools, or the income distribution -- is a waste of valuable time. Wasting precious time placing blame does not solve or help the growing problem. We seek to bridge the gap of this inequality by encouraging personal responsibility and enabling communities to continue the fight for access to better education for all.
Our Mission
Inequality occurs for a number of reasons; be it the lack of options in a community, oppression based on gender, race, or sexual preference, lack of infrastructure to assist those who are learning disabled, or discrimination based on mastery of the English language or lack there of. All causes, financial, racial, or simple neglect, can be reduced by raising awareness and taking the initiative to speak up and let your voice be heard.
What can you do?
- Become involved in your local school system
- Encourage non-biased testing, and multi-lingual tests
- Practice tolerance - just because someone is different, does not mean their future needs to be stunted.
- Engage actively in your community
- Most importantly be accepting and understanding
While the problem may always exist, together we can bridge the gap
Hand by hand, one at a time, we all are responsible for the future generations; I don't believe we're all that selfish.
